Wendy offers clinical supervision, and training (below) for professionals working to support children, young people and neurodiverse adults:
Clinical Supervision
What’s involved?
Individual sessions, focussing on building your competence and confidence using strengths-based, solutions-focused supervision frameworks. Different to case-management, supervision is about supported problem-solving and continual learning, in a non-judgemental setting.
Educational Psychologists most often supervise other (Educational or other) Psychologists, and can also provide supervision to a range of other professionals, e.g. teachers, counsellors, support workers, etc.
COST: Varies according to your profession, get in touch to discuss.
I am currently accepting new supervisees.
Training for professionals
Feedback from previous trainings:
“I loved the focus on different, not deficit”
“Open, easy to follow and relates to our role”
What’s involved?
Large or small group training for school staff/ support professionals who support children and young people (or adults) with diverse needs.
A range of topics related to learning and behaviour, such as neurodiversity, supporting specific learning disabilities, positive behaviour support, safety planning, etc.
Each training is bespoke to your situation and needs.
The process:
Initial discussion about what’s required, availability (Phone/zoom).
Preparation (If training is to support a particular child/young person I will need to meet with them/their caregivers to get a good understanding of their needs. I then need time to synthesize important information and design an engaging learning session)
Delivery of training (I draw on my knowledge and attendees’ knowledge to make training applicable and relevant).
Follow up session to embed learning (optional).
COST: Varies according to requirements, please get in touch to discuss.
